The 2008 Festival of Trees, Philbrook’s 24th annual holiday fundraiser, will be chaired by Rita Singer.

The 2008 Festival of Trees will delight visitors of all ages with visual interpretations of the theme and the season and activities throughout the two weeks:

Tulsa-area professional artists will provide unique interpretations of the theme for the art show and sale, and will be showcased in the museum and outside in the gardens.
Area students will create fanciful gingerbread houses and holiday trees for display and sale.
A series of beautifully decorated trees created by selected area designers will be on view and for sale as visitors enter the museum.
The collectible Festival of Trees pin designed by Tulsa artist Leslie Headly will be for sale in the museum shop.
Philbrook Docents will provide custom-designed tours each day which will include the exhibition, Frank Lloyd Wright and the House Beautiful., and the holiday traditions in the Villa. Tours are free with museum admission.

Breast Impressions Gala and Live Auction

Tulsa women and Tulsa area artists have been volunteering their bodies and their talents throughout the year to create unique, inspiring representations of the female breast and the emotions associated with breast cancer. Now it's time to enjoy an evening celebrating the efforts of the year. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with heavy hors d'oeuvres and donation wine and beer bar. Bid on the Silent auction featuring many of the breast casts, art, and donated items from our supporters. Oklahoma Senator Judy Eason McIntyre a breast cancer survivor herself, will speak at 7 followed by a Live Auction of the Breast Impression Art, led by Jay Litchfield - Tulsa's Premiere Auctioneer! Among the more than 25 works of art that will be auctioned is a bust completed by artist Kelie Myers (Brown).
$40 per person
All sale proceeds YES 100% will benefit Tulsa Project Woman, Inc. a regional, comprehensive program providing breast health education, no cost mammography, and diagnostic and surgical services for women with no health insurance and limited financial resources. TPW is a collaborative effort linking multiple Tulsa-area breast health care institutions to women, who because of financial hardship, often delay seeking medical attention. Since its beginning in 1998, Tulsa Project Woman has provided screening and services for more than 13,000 women and men and diagnosed 309 cases of breast cancer.

The OVAC Annual 12x12 Art Show & Sale

The annual 12x12 Art Show & Sale, will be held on Saturday, September 25, benefiting the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC). OVAC hopes to set a record for the event’s 18 year history, the funds raised will support OVAC’s many programs for Oklahoma artists.

The exhibition is comprised of a variety of work by Oklahoma artists including painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, drawing and ceramics, all measuring no more than 12 by 12 inches. Artists will receive a percentage of the sale of their work, as OVAC believes in creating opportunities for artists.

Guests at the event will enjoy food from over 20 of Oklahoma City’s greatest restaurants as well as music by Robbie Melendez and The Convoy. The success of the 12x12 is made possible by generous community sponsors. The Headline Sponsor was Chesapeake Energy.

The 2005 Festival of Trees, Philbrook’s 21st annual holiday fundraiser.

The 2005 Festival of Trees will delight visitors of all ages with visual interpretations of the theme and the season and activities throughout the two weeks:

Tulsa-area professional artists will provide unique interpretations of the theme for the art show and sale, and will be showcased in the museum and outside in the gardens.
Area students will create fanciful gingerbread houses and holiday trees for display and sale.
A series of beautifully decorated trees created by selected area designers will be on view and for sale as visitors enter the museum.
The collectible Festival of Trees pin designed by a Tulsa artist will be for sale in the museum shop.
Philbrook Docents will provide custom-designed tours each day. Tours are free with museum admission.
